Unofficial PAX08 Community DVD - Details and Download

You can check the original thread on the PAX forums for details on the set.

Unfortunately since the thread is locked I cannot edit the post. So don't mind the download links or anything else in that thread that I don't really care to have people see (or hear) anymore. :P

For now, only the torrent has been remade to include each disk instead of having multiple torrents. In the near future, expect a re-release with at least fresh DVD menus, and each image being in .iso format instead of .nrg. Normally I wouldn't care but there is a specific reason I'm doing this, but I'm not going to get into that right now.

Anyway.

Keep in mind this project was done with a few people who knew little about what we were doing. We had one standard DV camcorder, a small Dynex tripod, and a bunch of DV tapes. This was mainly a test run to see what we could accomplish with just that, and it wasn't all bad. So to see how it all began, check this out.

Concerts Disks
Disk one includes Freezepop and Jonathan Coulton. Disk two includes The OneUps and The Minibosses.

Community Disk
This disk features the keynote at the Pre-PAX Dinner by Chris Taylor of Gas Powered Games, who was lead designer of games like Total Annihilation and Supreme Commander for those who don't know. There are also clips from the Buttoneer gatherings, the presentation of the Button Case to Gabe and Tycho, and VT's Bioware Minion video as shown at the Pre-PAX Dinner.

Panels Disk
3 Years of Guild Wars panel, Spore Presentation, Red vs Blue panel, Penny Arcade Q&A 2, and the final round of the Omegathon. Sorry there's not more, but it was an okay start. And there's an official PAX08 DVD that should still be available for purchase too.

(New torrent as of 2/26/11)
